Childrens Play Centres are not just great hangouts for kids and families, they are also excellent kids birthday party venues. Recently, Dizzy's Castle venue was booked out for an exclusive after hours themed kids birthday party. Bronte celebrated her 7th birthday party and chose to have a pirate themed birthday party to enjoy her big day. The family hired a pirate kids party entertainer and had our venue cater for the night, with heaps of yummy, delicious and healthy food for the kids.

There was a pirate magic show in our disco kids party room, followed by heaps of playing around on our play equipment and a visit by Dizzy the Dragon. Dizzy helped Bronte blow out her birthday candles on her beautiful pirate cake! It truly was a special day.

Disco Themes Are Groovy Kid's Birthday Parties Ideas

Mamma mia, here we go again, another kid's birthday party to organise! If you're looking for a themed party idea for kid's birthday parties, then why not go disco! Disco Diva Party themes are one of Dizzy's Castle most popular kids parties ever, this is because the costumes are easy to make and kid's can celebrate their special day in our disco themed party room; complete with karaoke machine, disco lights and dancing stage!


Sourcing costumes for a disco themed party can be done on the cheap, all you  need is an old pair of jeans, a funny wig, some big glasses and big platform shoes, oh and of course heaps of glitter and sequins! If you are feeling extra crafty, then you can easily make bell bottoms using bright, large material sown on to the bottom of your jeans. Adorn them with sequins to create a real impact.

Pirate Themed Parties Are Great Ideas For Kid's Birthday Parties

Ahoy me matey's! If you're looking for a themed party idea for kid's birthday parties, then why not consider having a pirate party! Pirate themes are one of Dizzy's Castle most popular kids parties ever, this is because the costumes are easy to make and kid's can celebrate their special day in our pirate themed party room; complete with pirate ship and skull & crossbones flag!

Sourcing costumes for a pirate themed party can be done on the cheap, all you  needs is some black make-up (or a black eye patch), a white or red bandana, puffy white shirt (easy to get from an op shop), dark vest and sash and some old dark pants that can be shredded at the cuffs. Additional items can include some dark boots and a large gold hoop earring.

If you are feeling extra crafty, then try your hand at making a hook. Use a dark glove, a wire coat hanger and some tin foil. Bend the hanger into the shape of a hook, wrap it in the foil, then hold it in the glove. This is a really safe and easy costume addition that can be very effective. Swords are also easy to make. Just simply cut one from cardboard and then cover with tin foil.
